Easy Plastic Alternatives

Move from plastic zip bags to Stasher bags… because it just makes so much sense! Thinking it’s cheaper to buy some Ziplocs for five dollars? Think about buying a pack 6-10x per year. That’s nearly 50 dollars and a whole lot of plastic. Stashers can last for years and years and years, are freezable, heatable, dish-washable, and wonderful. They are perfect for meal prepping, freezing, and on the go snacks to have on hand all the time.

Try Abeego instead of cling wrap… beeswax just makes so much more sense, and again, lasts longer than plastic, and even keeps your food fresher. We’ve got these super cool beeswax wraps that can be washed and used for years, and even some pretty neat Canadian made beeswax bowl covers and bags.

Go toward intentional oral care… like bamboo toothbrushes (or ones made from recycled corn, etc) and refillable toothpaste! We’ve got five flavours of toothpaste to choose from, and while we sell the same paste in new glass jars that can be brought in to refill, you can also bring in literally any container for us to fill for you. Not only that, but we have zero-waste tooth-floss too!

Try re-filling deodorant in a long lasting glass jar… it might be outside the box, but cream deodorant is the best! Did you know that rubbing the cream in your pits can connect you more to your body and help your lymphatic system out a wee bit? If you’re seriously not into applying cream with your fingers, we also have some tubes of deodorant that come in paper tubes. Many options for many different preferences!

Think about your hair-care… how many bottles of hairspray, shampoo, gel, conditioner, the list goes on and on… do you think you go through per year? Imagine only having one bottle of each for a number of years? We all know that shampoo and conditioner bars have made a mark this year, and while we love them and carry a variety of them, we know it’s not everyone’s jam. Instead, you can bring in your shampoo bottles and we’ll weigh em and refill em with one of our amazing scents.
